The SABRE Signature 50 is a handcrafted 50-watt all-tube guitar amplifier designed by Elan Memran, founder of MetalHead Electronics and one of the original Marshall amplifier modders in Los Angeles, California.
The SABRE brings together two very different amplifier sounds in one compact head. You get a full, clear clean channel and a separate overdrive channel with both low-gain and high-gain modes.
The high-gain circuit comes from the original MetalHead amplifier modifications developed in Los Angeles during the late 1980s and early 1990s. These modifications helped shape the heavy guitar tones heard in the metal and industrial music scenes.
Whether you play blues, classic rock, hard rock, or industrial metal, the SABRE gives you a wide range of sounds without needing multiple amplifiers.
It also includes a built-in reactive loadbox, speaker mute, balanced XLR output, and active tube effects loop. These features make it suitable for live performances, studio recording, and playing at home.

SABRE SIGNATURE 50 GUITAR HEAD: TWO AMPS IN ONE
The SABRE Signature 50 combines a dedicated clean channel with a separate overdrive channel.
CLEAN CHANNEL
The clean channel delivers clear, full, and punchy tones with plenty of headroom. It works well for everything from warm jazz sounds to bright, sparkling clean guitar tones.
The FAT switch adds extra body and low-end response when you want a thicker sound.
With its own gain, tone controls, and master volume, you can set the clean channel exactly the way you like it.
OVERDRIVE CHANNEL
The overdrive channel offers two different gain modes.
Low Gain Mode: Designed for classic rock and blues-style overdrive. It responds naturally to your playing and provides a wide range of crunchy guitar sounds.
High Gain Mode: Based on Elan Memran’s original MetalHead high-gain modifications. This mode delivers heavy distortion, long sustain, and the tight response needed for modern metal and industrial metal.
Both channels have independent master volume controls, making it easy to balance your clean and overdrive sounds.
BUILT-IN ACTIVE NOISE REDUCTION
High-gain amplifiers can produce unwanted hiss and noise, especially when using extreme amounts of distortion.
The SABRE Signature 50 includes Elan’s built-in noise reduction system, developed for the original MetalHead high-gain circuits.
The system helps reduce unwanted noise while keeping your guitar’s natural sustain and response.
You can switch the noise reduction on or off and adjust its sensitivity to suit your playing style.
BUILT-IN REACTIVE LOADBOX AND SILENT RECORDING
One of the most useful features of the SABRE Signature 50 is its built-in reactive loadbox.
This allows you to use the amplifier without connecting an external speaker cabinet when the speaker switch is set to the correct silent operating position.
The reactive load works with the tube output stage, allowing you to enjoy the amplifier’s natural sound and response without having to play at high volume.
DIRECT XLR OUTPUT
The balanced XLR output allows you to connect directly to a recording interface, mixing console, or PA system.
The amplifier includes an analog speaker simulation circuit designed to provide a direct guitar signal without digital processing or latency.
This makes the SABRE suitable for home recording, professional studios, and silent-stage performances.
You can also use the amplifier with a traditional guitar speaker cabinet whenever you want.
IMPORTANT: When the speaker switch is in the ON position, do not operate the amplifier without a properly connected speaker load. Follow the owner’s manual for correct operation.

INDEPENDENT MASTER VOLUMES
Each channel has its own master volume, allowing you to balance your clean and overdrive sounds.
You can lower the playing volume without giving up the tone and sustain you expect from a tube amplifier.
CHANNEL SWITCHING
Switch between the clean and overdrive channels using the footswitch or front-panel controls.
You can also switch between low-gain and high-gain modes.
The FAT switch and noise reduction controls are operated from the amplifier’s front panel.
ACTIVE TUBE EFFECTS LOOP
The SABRE includes an active tube-driven effects loop with Send and Return connections.
This allows you to connect delay, reverb, and other effects while maintaining the amplifier’s natural sound.
SPEAKER IMPEDANCE SELECTION
The amplifier supports 4, 8, and 16-ohm speaker cabinets, giving you flexibility when connecting different guitar speaker cabinets.

Elan Memran was one of the original Marshall amplifier modders in Los Angeles, California, and the founder of MetalHead Electronics.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s, his amplifier modifications became known for their powerful high-gain sound, tight response, and long sustain.
The SABRE Signature 50 brings that experience into a complete amplifier designed from the ground up.
